Franchisee Success Stories

Servo Garage Doors doesn’t recruit franchise owners who want a hands-off investment. We look for technicians who are ready to run their own book of work, and for operators who believe a garage door business should be built on documentation instead of sales pressure. The owners who thrive here are the ones who would rather show a customer the worn cable than talk around it. They come from the trade, or they come from managing field crews, and they stayed because The Haven Standard gives them a structure that holds.

Meet Our Owners

Hector R. - Denver, Colorado

Hector spent eleven years as a field tech for a national door company, running five to seven calls a day and answering to a dispatcher he never met. He kept a notebook of every job, every part number, every customer name. When he started looking at ownership, most garage door franchises wanted him to sell packages and replacement openers. Servo was the only one that wanted his notebook. “Clause 1 is the reason I signed,” he says. “Flat price, written scope, before anyone starts. I’ve spent my whole career apologizing for estimates that changed by noon.” Now he runs four trucks and answers his own phone after 8 p.m. He says ownership didn’t change the work. It changed who gets credit for it.

Lucia G. - Austin, Texas

Lucia ran operations for a home services group that did plumbing, electrical, and garage doors under one roof. She could quote a spring replacement from memory but never got to set the standard for how the job was documented. That bothered her, because she was the one answering the angry calls when a tech’s word was all the customer got. She joined Servo because the Evidence rule was already built. “Every job closes with photos of what we found and what we did. That’s not a policy I had to fight for. It’s Clause 4.” She runs her Austin territory with three techs and a part-time office lead. The part that surprised her most was the Free Second Opinion offer. “Customers bring us other companies’ written estimates all the time. Half the time we save them money. That’s the whole point of working this way.”

Hector T. - Phoenix, Arizona

Hector T. was a master tech for eight years before he bought his first route. He had a reputation in Phoenix for diagnosing opener logic boards while other companies were still writing quotes for full replacements. That’s exactly the instinct he wanted to build a business around, but he didn’t want to become a sales manager. With Servo, he didn’t have to. The Haven Standard keeps the pricing flat and the scope in writing, so his techs don’t carry a sales sheet. They carry a camera and a torque wrench. Hector runs five trucks now and handles the emergency line himself on weekends. “The 365-Day Done Right Promise sounds bold until you realize it’s just the way I already worked,” he says. “Now it’s in writing, with a terms page, and my techs don’t have to guess what I’d do.”

Marco G. - Sacramento, California

Marco came up through commercial door repair, working on loading docks and fire doors where the paperwork is non-negotiable. He wanted to bring that discipline to residential work but found that most residential companies treated documentation as an afterthought. Servo was built on that exact distinction. “The customer sees the failed part before anyone quotes a replacement,” Marco says. “That was the founding rule in 2015, and it’s still the rule I run my trucks on.” He owns the Sacramento territory and keeps his license number on every page of his site, not buried in the fine print. He says the background-checked, uniformed technicians standard is what keeps his turnover low. “Guys want to work somewhere that takes the craft seriously. My crew knows the customer gets the photo record. It keeps everyone honest, including me.”
